Victoria was my angel by my side! There were moments I felt like I couldn’t go on, and Victoria knew just what to do. Her intuition on what to say, her calmness, gentleness and knowing how to say it helped me get through. The nurses even commented on how she was a great doula! With Victoria there, my husband was even more involved than ever which we both loved and appreciated!”

Now enrolling: Mindfulness-based childbirth and parenting class!

Perhaps you've attended other types of Childbirth Classes offered by your hospital or care provider, but you're looking for something a bit...different.

Maybe you understand what's going to happen to your body during labor and childbirth, but you've heard that this MIND OVER MATTER thing is really where it's at.

Developed by Nancy Bardacke, CNM, who authored the book Mindful Birthing, and based on the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program that has helped thousands of patients in hospitals since 1979 overcome health challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, diabetes, high blood pressure, chronic pain, etc., this course will equip you with the tools, practices, and resources to feel truly prepared for the journey of childbirth and parenting.

When you sign up for a Minfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting Class, we meet once a week for 9 weeks and cover the basic principles of preparing the mind and body for childbirth with mindfulness practices you can apply to your daily life.

We cover the basic childbirth course topics, such as how labor progresses, what’s happening in your body during childbirth, beneficial pushing positions, supportive comfort techniques and laboring positions, and typical hospital procedures, as well as learning and practicing the skill of mindfulness and how to apply it to your daily life.

Here’s an article recently published by Pregnancy and the Newborn all about the MBCP program!

...this class that I attended with Victoria was absolutely fantastic. I had a traumatic birth that ended in a C section with my first son, and then had a repeat C section with my second son. Now that I’m pregnant with my daughter, I am absolutely set on attempting a vaginal birth this time around. But my anxiety and fear of confrontation was pushing me toward just going with another repeat... I took the plunge and signed up for Victoria’s class, and I can’t even adequately explain how grateful I am that I did. Having the right mindset during labor and birth is probably more than half the battle, and I didn’t realize how much help I needed until I started practicing minfulness. I still have a certain level of fear and anxiety going into this birth, but I have learned some amazing techniques to help me get through it. I am so excited and hopeful going into this birth, and I don’t think I would be anywhere near this level if I hadn’t met Victoria. This class is 100% worth it!! For all expecting mamas, whether it’s your first or if you’re a seasoned pro ❤
