I believe women are stronger, more resilient, and more intuitively knowledgeable than they realize. I believe birth is a natural process. I believe in the power of support and community. I believe in uplifting each other. I believe that your voice, your desires, and your choices matter and they should never be ignored in the delivery room. I believe there is no place for suffering in childbirth, even when you're experiencing the pain of childbirth.
The birth professions are my life's calling. I know the difference it makes when you have education, resources, and physical and emotional support throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. I've experienced it first-hand in powerful ways.
I want every woman to feel that they are in control, that they have a voice, and that they trust in the deep wisdom within themselves and the knowledge and experience of their care providers. I believe the two should complement rather than contradict each other.
My mission is to safeguard the memory of this birth. Our babies come to us in so many different ways, and no matter the route or method, no one can take away the sense of joy, accomplishment, strength, and pride from your childbirth experience unless you let them. I'm here to equip you with the tools, the techniques, the resources, and the support to help you make the best choices for you, your baby, and your family.
