Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga

Yoga practice is ideal for the pregnant body as the rhythm of moving into and out of the asanas while pairing breath with movement mimics the work and rest that characterizes labor and childbirth.  Prepare the body, mind and spirit for labor and childbirth with postures that will strengthen the core, arms, and legs for an easier labor; bring flexibility to the spine to support body balancing and alignment for relieving common pregnancy discomforts and allow baby to get into the ideal position for birth.  Practice pelvic floor exercises that will aid in childbirth and also postpartum recovery.  Learn breathing techniques that invite relaxation, peace, and calm to help ease anxieties and that will mindfully carry you through labor and childbirth with confidence.
