Come to this workshop to understand more about how your mind and your body work together during the labor and childbirth process, and how you can make the mind-body connection work FOR you, rather than against you.
In my years attending births as a doula, I have seen first hand the powerful effects of the mind over the body during labor, and how it affects birth outcomes. The birth process can have unexpected events that we may or may not be able to control, but the one aspect we CAN control is how we respond to those events.
In this workshop, we’ll demystify the labor process. We’ll look at the pain of childbirth and how it’s connected to fear, and you’ll learn simple techniques to work WITH your body, to uncouple the emotional responses of fear and anxiety from the physical sensation of pain. Even though pain is a biological part of birthing babies, you needn’t suffer through it! You’ll learn how to find more peace and ease in the birth process and how to leverage the ‘good’ hormones that keep labors shorter, more efficient, and easier.
